  We hadn't been to Shannon's in awhile and maybe we just hit it on an off night or didn't choose the best menu options, but unfortunately my husband and I both noticed that it wasn't as good as we have experienced over the years. Our nachos barely had any cheese on them, the chicken salad had a slightly off/strange flavor, and the tuna salad on my tuna melt was on the watery side. The steamed shrimp was excellent and so was the service. The atmosphere was still very nice in the bar where we sat as well as the dining room - and the place was packed as usual - so again, maybe we hit it on an off night...but we were disappointed since we were really looking forward to going back to the place as we had always had good food before and often ordered those same menu items. We may give it another try just to see...but that evening we left hungry and didn't finish our food. Not good.

  Awesome food at reasonable prices with a friendly staff. The nightly specials keep the menu interesting, and the portions are quite large. Definitely get the cream of crab soup!!!
